Default Transfer of Proceedings Notice

Hi
I am chasing Lloyds for £2,000. I have followed the procedure as laid out on Martin Lewis's site.
I received a letter on Friday saying that the court proceedings are to be transferred to the court covering my area.
Has anyone else been down this road. I am obviously a bit twitchy at this.
Does anyone know what happens next.

Hi Mountainman.

Welcome to CAG..... the site with NO secrets.

The allocation of proceedings is standard procedure. What is happening is that you started your claim using MCOL. All MCOL claims go direct to Northampton. From there they are allocated to your local courts.
Just sit back, now, and wait for the courts to contact you.

Good luck.
Regards, Rooster.

Hi Rooster

thanks for that, I was sure that was the case but doubts were starting to grow, the reassurance is greatly appreciated.

Hi
just another quick question, is it standard for that Notice of Transfer of Proceedings to show that Lloyds are contesting my claim?

Thanks

Hi all fellow claimers

I too have have recieved the Notice of transfer but have a worried feeling.
Me and my friend are both with lloyds and we both started claims at same time. His ammount is for £800 and mine is two claims on different accounts, both for about £2500.
We followed the procedure of martin with the letters as standard.
both our claims have gone the same way and have been identical in wording until now.

He recieved his notice and the defence mentions things about the charges been fair blah blah, but mine is stating that i have not provided enough details of the account and how the charges where worked out.

I dont understand this as i have handled the details for mine and my friends claim and all our details where the same except the ammount and the account numbers.

Any help????

Thanks

Don't worry, very few claims unfold in exactly the same way. There is a reason for this, and that is to create uncertainty, so that claimants waver and fold before the end. You cannot affect the speed of the procedure, just stick with it.

Hi

received this 12 May, 2007. Am preparing my stuff now for the bundle, although a bundle is not asked for.
Quote:
Before DISTRICT JUDGE HENDICOTT sitting at Cardiff County Court, Cardiff Civil Justice Centre, 2 Park Street, Cardiff, CF10 1ET.
Upon the Courts own motion. The Court has made this order of its own initiative without a hearing. If you object to the order, you must make an application to have it set aside, varied or stayed within 7 days of receiving it.
IT IS ORDERED THAT
1. Directions will be given in this case by the Designated Civil Judge, His Honour Judge G Hickinbottom, on the 14th August 2007 at 10:30am at Cardiff Civil Justice Centre, 2 Park Street, Cardiff CF10 1ET.
2. The parties may appear in person or make written representations as to how the case should proceed provided a copy of the representations is sent to the Court and the other side at least 7 working days prior to the hearing.
Date 12 May 2007.

Left this a bit late but have redundancy and other stuff going on in my life at the moment.
What does this mean? where is it going? Do I need to prepare a bundle?
It appears that I have to go along or prepare a written representation, is that a bundle?
Help, thanks.
Mountainmain.
