Are They Telling Me Lies About Credit Card?

Hi everyone,
i used to have a lloyds platinum credit card but it was paid off in full last september, and the account was closed.
i think i can still claim back the charges as i was charged quite alot.
when i rang them and asked to have the statments sent out to me, she told me that it would cost £6.00 per statment!! and that it would cost me hundreds of pounds. i think i had the account for about 2/3 years and the balance was around £5.000. please can you give me some advice .

They are wrong.

Here send this letter to them enclosing a cheque or postal order for the maximum of £10.

They are correct they can charge you per statement as this is a service and this is what you asked for.
What you should of done is sent a Subject Access Request ( template is available in our libary section ) as this will cost you a maximum of £10 and give you all the information you require .

The most important advice I can give you is do not jump into this but read up first so you know what you are doing and will not make another mistake.You will need to read our FAQ's , step by step guide and around the forum , mainly the long threads that have already been won.
