LLoyds Loans direct debit problem/wont cancel Hello
Can any one shine some light on this situation or are you in the same situation.
I have 2 loans with Lloyd's both on reduced payment, i agreed to the reduced amount to be drawn form my account monthly by Direct Debit.
they have defaulted on the agreement now for 6 months, i have requested the direct debit be stopped and i have sent a check for 6 months of payments to cover the next 6 months.
The cheque is form a different person and on the cheque and letter it has been advised that they accept and use the cash as necessary and by cashing the cheque they agree to these terms.
I requested the direct debit be stooped, as on the direct debit mandate i signed it says i had a cancel the direct debit at anytime.
It also states that I would be told 10 days before any change in the amount to be taken.
They have taken £84 and £24 for 6 months and i have never been advised of this change, each month i have to advise them and get the money returned.
I want to take the control of the account away form them as they are doing this on purpose. the 6 months prior to this they collected £8 a month with no problems what so ever.
All Lloyd's are doing is causing my overdraft to run out sooner then charges can be applied and they are turning a loan that i have an agreement on into an immediately collectible over draft.
The next full amount they take will make my OD exceeded and they can plant a big default on my credit file and this is their full intent.
i understand i can collect this money back as they have defaulted the payments, but it wont be to late for them to apply a default.
This is a totally set up to fail situation and i don't know how to stop them
Thank you for your advice
ADDED: after many months of agro, they advised i needed to visit the branch to do this.. A totaly underhanded statement as they knew fullwell most of my weeks I am house bound.
So i had to join internet banking and cancel them from there a total bunch of careless fools.
