I suggest anybody dealing with this firm asks for confirmation that the person you are speaking with has actually bothered to go to your file and that it is in front of them when speaking to you.

I have just got off the phone and can only say they lead their callers on. They put you on hold so you imagine they are looking at your file. You then ask them to confirm something and they say the file has been put back in the drawer. You then ask them something else and they say they don't know because they haven't looked at the file - they have only spoken to someone dealing with your file. When you ask to speak to last person they say they are not available.

I asked them to confirm at what point they first requested instructions from their client. They declined to give me this information as they said they were not obliged to. They would only confirm they contacted the client yesterday. The final day before action re: stay passes. I asked what had been sent - at one point I was told the file - I asked how could it be in the drawer then.

I was told the conversation was going in circles. I said I had been waiting for a month and it was their client who had requested a month to settle and then done nothing about it. He said he was sure I could wait a little bit longer for them to contact me!

The whole thing is a joke and the banks are really abusing the process (aided by their advisers).
