Ongoing Charges

If I take Lloyds to court and the case is stayed, are they allowed to keep adding more charges to my account until the OFT court case is finally resolved? Or are the charges then frozen?

Would it be better for me to pay the existing charges and bring my account back within its limit and then claim the charges back when (and if) the OFT case is resolved in the customers favour?

They can continue to add charges until the case is resolved I'm affraid.

As to whether you pay all now and then reclaim I don't know what is best to advise in this case and hopefully someone more knowledgable will pop along to answer.

I think if it were me and I were in a position to pay the charges I would but I don't know if there are any benefits to either option (other than paying it would avoid debt collectors getting involved)

Im in the same situation, i was hoping as the account was in dispute that they would not add more charges until the dispute had been settled.. i have had advice here saying to pay some of if not all the charges and add them to the claim when it goes to court.
Damn though its a bug bare to have to pay yet another load of charges.. but i guess it keeps you fired up all the way to court!

If you're not in a position to pay anything significant off it then TSB don't normally hang around long before sending accounts off to their Collections Centre - you can normally make an arrangement with them to have the planned overdraft increased to match the amount you're overdrawn and pay a small amount off it each month - just what you can afford.

I've got a similar agreement with them atm, paying 10 pound a month.
