LLOYDS TSB TRUSTCARD

I have a current account and also a TSB Trustcard. Trustcard kept withdrawing payment from my current account to pay the trustcard without my consent. When I questioned wether they had the right to withdraw without a DD or Standing order they said it was within their right to do this transaction without my permission.
I would only find out by looking at my statement that this money had been taken. This then caused further charges later in the month as regular authorised DD's would not be paid and this resulted in further charges as enough money was not left in the account to pay them. This has occurred for several months. Is this correct procedure?

We aren't at all banking experts - and anyway, please notice the disclaimers hre and in the forum rules etc.
However, I do believe that it is acceptable for banks to combine accounts in some circumstances.

On the matter of charges, read the FAQs. If the charges refer to disproportionate penalties then they should be recoverable
