Default Intelligent Finance

Is anyone after Intelligent Finance, they are the telephone arm of the Halifax

I can't sue them using Moneyclaim online as their address is in Scotland,

I seem to have spent every spare moment this week trying to get a reply from our local small claims court to see if I can do it through the post. They just don't answer the phone!!

Does anyone know anything usefull!!

quote from earlier thread (thanks barracad!)

IF is a division of Halifax, it is not a seperate legal entity, so you would be able to serve proceedings against Halifax's Registered Office address (Trinity Road)

There are a few claims in the litigation system at the mo on IF using Halifax's address so it should be fine.

If you do a search (top blue bar) on intelligent finance it should bring up a number of threads that will help.

edit: sorry - so that all means you should be able to use moneyclaim online okay. Good luck !

Smile Re: Intelligent Finance keep it up

Thought you would be interested. I sent my prelim letter on the 6 june and by the 15 June they had coughed up the money they owed me. Admittedly only £60, two charges and one dating back to 2002, but they did acknowledge my "comments in respect to the charges" and appologised for falling short of "the high standard Intelligent Finance prides itself on delivering". So, the good news is, they do listen and will relent with pressure.

Default Re: Intelligent Finance, Settled!!

I was only after £60 plus the court fee of £30 from iF, and they coughed up for that this morning.

They gave in at the same stage as First Direct, when the court thingy was sent.

Good luck every one

Well, I've got to the Court stage and they've acknowledged with intention to file a defence - so I hope you're right!!

Well done, though!
