Default How to start?

Hi Guys

I am ready to start claiming my charges back from IF after finally setting up a different bank account. I have a few questions about some of the confusing aspects of IF.

I had an account with a current account (still active), a loan and a credit card. I received charges on all of these over the years. Can I just put my plan number on the Subject Access Request and expect to receive lists of charges for all 3 accounts?

Secondly, I'm a bit confused as to where I should send the Subject Access Request. It seems that some people are sending it to the Edinburgh Office and some to the Halifax. Which one should I send it to?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

I had the same. I sent the Subject Access Request through with my plan number. As you know they send us statements that way and each of the charges will be seperated. I sent mine off two weeks ago to 1 Baird Rd, Kirkton Campus, Livingston EH54 7AZ. I know they have all different address's but on the website they are still based at this location. My requested was signed for as I have proof of delivery. I will be sending them the 7 day notice soon and if still no reply court here we come. I know that this time, I'm going to send the 7 day notice to Halifax Head Office and I.F so It can't be said that they haven't had the chance. It seems that all the banks are dragging their feet at the moment to put people off. I'm at the court stage with Cahoot and they are the same, no contact but will give in eventually. Hope this helps and I'll keep you posted if I get anymore updates.

Phil

HI I agree with Phil we are at the same stage, no statements at all, no communication from IF at all, did phone them and they assured us that they were aware of our Data Protection Act request and they would send doc's... but tomorrow is the deadline. NOTHING in the post today
So have prepared Non-compliance letter and that will be sent first thing Monday, we are also sending to the Halifax Head office.

Thanks guys.

The letter is all printed up with the plan number on so I'll get it sent recorded delivery today. It's good timing as my new bank account card arrived this morning, so I can persue them without worrying they will close my account
