Angry Intelligent Finance - Standard letter rec'd TWICE!

Have done the pre-lim, got the standard response "we incur costs etc, etc...".

Went to stage 2 and did the LBA and guess what... They've sent me exactly the same letter AGAIN!!!

Has this happened to anyone else?

I knew they were rubbish with customer service etc, but this really is amazing. They deserve to be marched into court for being so un-intelligent!

Money claim here we come...

Hi,

Is there any news on your claim through moneyclaim??

The status of my claim has just changed to DEFENCE so desperately trying to find someone who has been through the whole process to see what happened to them.

Hi Jamie,

Mine has been filed and was acknowledged yesterday. Nothing new on it yet.

I'll keep you posted if there is any update or they do the same to me.

Good luck!

Good news...

After having filed the MCOL, then they acknowledged and wanted to defend etc... had a letter from HBOS legal services this morning, starting off a tad patronising saying I should have technically sued Halifax Plc not IF, however, that haven't noticed I issued my claim to Halifax plc t/a Intelligent Finance.

Letter went on to say they intend to defend, however, purely on a commerical basis it would cost too much to defend so without admitting liability they are coughing up in full blah blah...

Anyone else waiting for IF claims, stick with it. Seems to be the same policy as Halifax claims as its dealt with by the same legal services people.

Congratulations!

You mention they said you should have claimed against Halifax NOT Intelligent Finance - so you were sending all letters to the 1 Baird Road address?

Did you start off with the S.A.R. template letter from the library on this site?

Did you claim interest or just charges?

I'm just about ready to send my S.A.R. off - slightly scared at the possibility of ending up in court, but it would seem no-one who has gone after I.F. has gone to court - unless anyone can tell me otherwise?

Were you getting worried after receiving two standard letters back?

Enjoy your money!

Stuarto.

Stuarto,

I did start off sending my first two letters to Baird Road, who them replied with the two of the same standard sod off letters. However, when I requested my charges breakdown, I didn't use standard S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) template letter, no. I simply wrote asking for a breakdown and got a list back with a little bit on the end saying I was very naughty and they usually charge for that kind of thing etc, etc.

After the two letters back from Baird Road, I then issued the MCOL to Halifax Plc t/a Intelligent Finance at Trinity Road, Halifax. This is as per the company information on the bottom of all IF correspondence anyway.

To answer your other question, yes I claimed interest and charges. I used the templates on here, very handy!

Good luck if you go for it.
