| | Basic Account Customer | Company Ignored right to cancel Hi, what can i do and (has anyone been here) to get my money back from the insurance company for a policy which i attempted to cancel within the 14 day window the contract allows?
The policy is for travlling cover for one person and i had not travelled before i attempted to cancel it.
Any feedbcak would be appreciated, is this just £56 down the drain and how can thet ignore me when i attempt to cancel? they can' do this surely?
edit: i attempted to cancel becausei realised the policy did not cover me anyway, ridiculous, i consider this a misrepresentation advertising on thier website? can i make a case for this too.
Cheers

Was it single trip or multi trip?
Had the date of travel specified to the insurer passed?
Which Insurer / Broker did you use?
Is the 'redstar' a clue to the company

I used the company sta travel and their inhouse travel insurer "blue" but i didn't realise if i used them that i was only covered if i booked through sta, which i wasn't! hence the need on my part to cancel
when i booked this fact of the terms and conditions was not clearly evident.
i sent an email to them but no reply and they still have my money, now what? | When you buy travel insurance from a travel agent they are not regulated by the FSA, hence the agravation, will look into on Monday (I work for an insurance broker that specialises in travel and non standard insurances), will speak to the Travel centre manager to see the routes you have for receourse, will update then! |
