hello

i have recently had my motorbike stolen and its got to a stage where i`m being interviewd by a loss adjuster on friday


is it possible to negotiate with them to get a better price rather than staying with what they tell me i should have ?

I work for them - might even be the one interviewing you!!!

When an offer is made it will show you what to do if you are unhappy with the figure. The figure is not set in stone.

a LADJ has been appointed to check the validity of your claim because of it being a THEFT - I trust the bike was locked up etc as they will be looking to see if you are in breach of any policy terms etc. Do your homework with regards to settlement - the insurer will settle based on market value if the bike isn't new. You need to check what the cost of replacement would be in your area taking into account miles, conditions, service etc. Then compare this with the offer you have been given - if the insurers offer is less, haggle and provide evidence.
