Default Reclaiming Excess

Hi,
My girlfriend had a crash over 3 months ago, the 3rd party admitted full liability and she paid the £250 excess to get her car repaired. 3 months later budget still haven't reclaimed this off the 3rd party but just keep sending us letters to say they are still trying to reclaim it.
As the 3rd party vehicle was a post office van and was insured by Norwich Union I don't see any reason for it to take this long and she is still £250 out of pocket.
Any ideas how we can speed this up?
Cheers

Hi
I can have a look into this and see if there is anything we can do from our end... do you have any details about the claim with us you could email over to me?

Post office will not have a traditional policy via NU. They are effectively fully self insured and have their own in-house insurance department who deal with all PO claims. I don't even think NU or RAC are even involved.
Contact your nearest PO main branch and ask for address of their risk/insurance department - say it is to make a claim against them not that you want to buy a policy
Alternatively Budget should have this information.

A big thank you to Becca at Norwich Union. She told me more than my insurance company had told me in 3 months and I had my money back in 2 weeks after she stepped in.
