Help-Loss Adjuster Disagrees!

Hi-Can anyone help?Not long after moving into my house last year and after bad weather noticed that water was coming into my downstairs shower room through a perspex conservatory roof.I rang a local contractor who came out and made a repair.However,in October (again after bad weather,water was pouring down the showerroom wall so I made a claim on my household insurance.A loss adjuster came out and said he could find no evidence of storm damage and insinuated that I was making a fraudulant claim.I was furious and wrote to the insurance company sending a report from my builder.I complained about the loss adjuster;The loss adjuster then wrote back to me asking if he could make a 'fresh start'(obviously worried that the insurance company may stop using him)The situation with the roof had got worse and with the recent bad weather,another area is leaking.He has been back,and is still insisting it is not storm damage!I have rung the insurance Co{Heath Lambert)and asked for another loss adjuster to be appointed.I was so distressed on the phone.Anyway they have now said that they are sending the file to underwriters in London before they can appoint another adjuster.Any Suggesstions?

The loss adjuster MAY actually be correct. I doubt that he was insinuating that you were making a fraudulent claim, simply stating that he did not believe the loss was covered.

If the cause of the water flooding down your shower room wall was severe weather damaging the roof then the storm damage section of your police will apply. If however, the heavy rain highlighted a pre existing fault in the structure of the property that was not caused by the prevailing weather conditions at the time then I would suggest that it is not covered.
