It's funny really - Barclays used to take it to the last second - now they offer half straight away.

First Direct, from what I've read in here used to give in straight away, now they argue for a bit, then give in.

Funny old game.

My highest charge for the month was £220 (£119 in excess over draft) £100 in overdraft fees and I cant remember the interest! I wish I could earn that in as little time as FD!

Good luck - I hope you get back everything you deserve, as i hope the rest of the people on the site get.

I have got an initital letter to First Direct & Marbles with them, 13 days and counting!!!

I am working out the charges from Capital one (but I only have the last 7 months statements but that totals £500 in seven months of charges etc so have asked for the last 4 years worth of statements - whcih they have said they will send surprisingly!) and I am writing to Style and Barclaycard asking for statements and I am sure I have been collared for loads with them - no wonder I am in debt!

Don't give them any time... They will use every trick in the book to slow you down in the hope that it becomes too tedious and you will give up. Find the Data Protection Act letter and send that to them by both secure messaging through their site and by snail mail. They MAY charge you up to £10 for it but they certainly didn't charge me anything and they couriered (sp?) them out to me within days.

Don't let them slow you down. They have YOUR money and you want it back as soon as possible. It's currently sitting in their accounts earning them more interest when it should be in your account.

If it was me I would reply asking them that exact question...

Did you send them £10 or authorize them to deduct it from your account ?

ATEOTD remember they've still got the same timetable regardless of which department is dealing with it...

So you are fine... It's irrespective which department they send it to... They still have 40 days to comply.

As I said above I would probably ask them why it's gone to the lending department.... Really all you want is the information and then your mo
