Hi Seashell!

How much was your claim for? I found with HFC that if I just rang them after the fob off letter and just said "look we all know where this is going - I send you a LBA, you say no - I file a claim - you pay, why don'y you just settle now" then they coughed raight away. Had a cheque for my GM Card and one for Beneficial on the way.

Suspect they have a cut off limit for this.

Regards

M

Good on you just out of curiosity how much were you claiming i have sent off my initial request and not heard anything from them yet my charges amount to £250 which would greatly help reduce my current balance with them

Hi Seashell. You were right about Mr Ball. He is a very nice man. Offered me half so i phoned him. All he asked was if i was not happy with the offer. When i said no he said he would have a word wit his manager and ask if he can give me the full claim then said he would send the revised offer out today (friday)

I accepted the offer and sent it back but.............

How long did it take since sending back the acceptance slip for the money to appear.

I sent mine off 1st class ( not recorded this time ) over a week ago today.

I am going to call James Bell up if I dont hear soon.

Anybody able to let me know how long it took or is there another letter coming to tell me?

Hi,

I asked for a cheque rather than a credit to the account and it came within a week, as promised. He seems amenable so it will be worth phoning him to find out where the money is

Thanks for that

I phoned and spoke to them. They confirmed that the cheque was posted thursday and so it should be on the mat when I get home today. Imust say that James Ball and co do seem rather friendly. So credit to them ( no pun intended )
