Default New claim for daughter

Hi

I have a claim ongoing for myself with Lloyds but have just started a claim for my daughter with HSBC. The preliminary letter was totally ignored even though it was sent registered delivery. Sent LBA 10 days ago and my daughter phoned her bank yesterday to make sure that it was being dealt with. She was informed that the banks have until early May to sort out bank charges as that is when the FSA is making a decision. Do you suggest that we still keep to the 14 day deadline for a N1 claim form. Her claim is for £685 + 8% interest. She has been with this bank since the age of 11 which makes that 14 years.

makes you sick doesn't it? they can take til may to sort things out but when they charge you or want to know when your'e going to put your account in order -they're breathing down your neck like a blowtorch!!!

If they are referring to the OFT report this wont make any decisions for the banks, I believe it may produce a few smoke screens for them to try to hide behind but nothing substantial. This is what happened when the OFT published its reports into credit card companies.

So I suggest the sooner you get the claim moving the better because all the OFT report will do is cloud the issues.
