Can someone else attend court on your behalf?

Can you have someone else attend court on your behalf?

Specifically me attending court for my wife who will probably be looking after our 2 year old son at the time - she is willing to sign anything necessary for this to be posible

I would have thought so - since a solicitor can represent someone. However, I would suggest ringing your local county court to check on the process. You will find they are very helpful, and will answer any question or concern you may have.

cheers - I'll give them a call if I have to file a claim

my claim is so low though (£242) I wouldn't be suprised if hsbc settle in full before the claim starts

Not sure if anyone has worked out what amounts they pay up for without court action. Most HSBC claims seem to be going as far the Moneyclaim stage though.
I would still be very suprised if it actually got as far as a courtroom though.
