Question Defence entered what now??????

I have just checked the status of mcol, HSBC had until Wednesday to file a defence,it says on the website that defence was entered on 02/02/07?????????? Very odd as I am sure this is meant to say 02/03/07 as I did not file claim until 06/02/07.
Does this make any difference the fact that the wrong date has been listed??

I would like to know what to do next, do I wait to hear from DG, wait for an AQ to be sent or should I contact DG and try and push an offer from them? (if so what shall I say)
I have already sent them a copy of my charges (twice). Up until now I have had no offers or even a response from either HSBC or DG (apart from to tell me they recieved the list of charges)

Cheers everyone.

i'd ring up mcol and point out the error. it's not unusual not to have heard from them at all up until this stage. in a few days time you'll receive the copy of the defence and aq in the post.

i would wait a day or two and then give them a ring. they are usually very helpful at mcol. when the paperwork arrives in the post, there will be a date on there when you have to file your aq by, so i shouldn't worry about it too much, you'll have a while to work out the aq and stuff

I have recieved my AQ today, it's due to be completed by March 24th. Should I now start calling DG and pushing for a settlement???? If so what shall I say?
I could really do without having to pay £100 AQ fee.

Leave your AQ for a few days, but you will have to make sure it gets to the court before the deadline.
You just might get an offer before you have to put it in.
As for contacting DG, by all means do it, just dont over do it, that makes you look a bit desperate.

hi maggie

i shouldn't start hassling dg just yet. have a look at the instructions for filling in the aq and get that ready, they will more likely make an offer either just before or after you file the aq - nobody can be sure anymore!!

Thought I'd fill in AQ incase I don't get an offer before deadline. Can anyone tell me what to put in the other information section? Do I enclose a letter with it and a copy of charges?

Maggie,

I'm at the same point as your good self as HSBC are defending the claim, which was lodged 24 hours before my MCOL claim was due to expire. I'm hoping that this will only be a temporary setback as I have a wedding to pay for

No doudt that as soon as the AQ arrives I'll have a couple of questions.
