Default Queenrac V's HSBC Rob Dogs!!

Hi guys,

This is my first thread so thought I would let you guys know where I am at with my claim!

Rob Dogs plc owe me just over a grand. They took the cash from me when I became a new home owner and couldn't really afford to live let alone pay their bank charges every month, I went over my agreed o/d limit on 2 accounts so I was being charged £27.50 X 2 every month for a while!
So, this is how far I have got:

I have sent letter 1 (No reply at all, not even a 'Thanks for your letter, we are looking into it'). Then sent LBA on Dec 5th. They sent a reply Jan 4th and said they would reply by Feb 5th with a full response.

The 14 calendar days is up today so need to start court claim but am a bit scared that a) haven't really had a reponse, it's like they are ignoring me. and b) Stupidly, I didn't send the LBA recorded delivery (fool), so, now I'm thinking should I re-send or are they just pretending they haven't received it when they have and I should start the court claim?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!

hi queenrac
i would stick to your own timetable as the bank doesn't always reply anyway. if anything like my case, the bank responded to the first (prelim)letter the day after i'd pushed the file button at mcol. anything that you post in the future would be best sent recorded delivery... if only for your own peace of mind.
good luck with your claim

Question Re: Queenrac V's HSBC Rob Dogs!!

Hi Netty,
Thanks for those words of encourgament.
Am I right in thinking that I need to calculate the 8% interest when I file my claim? Also, do I just use the spreadsheet that I filled out originally? There were 3 pages and I sent off the second page of 'charges and interest' but there was also a 3rd sheet entitled 8% interest. Do I just print that one off with court claim or do I have to do another one from scratch? Seems like they owe a lot of interest £237 on 1 account. Or is this not a lot to you guys?? They had taken £677 from one a/c £237 interest and £346 with £166.23 interest @ 8% over a couple of years?!?!

Default HELP: Settlement offer re'd- which letter?

Hi guys,

Re'd offer from rob dogs this morning offering most of the amount I was claiming. However they do not accept that interest 'appropriate' to my claim and won't pay it.
I have already begun court proceedings as the letter they sent me this morning is in reply to the 1st letter requesting a refund on 5th December!

Is there a letter that says thanks for your offer but I've already begun court proceedings or do I just ignore?
It says I have 10 working days to reply......
