Default MCOL Daily interest query help please.

Hi Gang,
just a quick query (im a little confused). when working out the daily interest do you work it out like this.

total claim 1805.00 + 8% x 0.00022 = daily interest

or is it..
total claim 18.05.00 x 0.00022 = daily interest.

many thanks in advance.

it's total claim £1,805 x 0.00022 = 40p per day

(it's the same as 1,805 x 8% divided by 365)

Hi Guys,

I too have a question related to above, and any help would be appreciated

My total claim is for £3,051.50 + interest of £160.09 (NOT calculated using 8% and this is my LBA figure)

When I submit my MCOL I take it I use the 3,051.50 sum but also add in the calculated 8% interest on that sum for the 6 year period as given in the template spreadsheet ? (approx £424.96) this would give me a total claim of £3,476.46 ?
Do I then claim the daily interest rate on this total amount or just the LBA claim amount ex the interest ?

i.e. 3,051.50 x 0.00022 = 67ppd or 3,476.46 x 0.00022 = 76ppd

Sorry if I'm being thick

Steve

hi steve, your total claim will be 3051.50 + 160.09, therefore 3211.59.

your claim for sec.69 interest will be 8% on all the amounts within the 3211.59 since the date they were debited.

your daily interest figure will be 3211.59 x 0.00022 = 71p

yes - but you still work out s.69 interest on the overdraft interest portion of the claim.

Bong, I'm not being arguementative! Just trying to get it straight!

Charges + o/d int. x 0.00022 (not total claim + 0.00022)

Best I get it right when I submit mine!

Put 1 claim in, apparently, going by that, it should have been 23p per day not 30p per day. Probably not worth worring about.
