Default pdoyle vs hsbc - money claim filed on line!

i have sent both letters with copies of statements (schedule of charges).....i have recived NO replies to either of my letters (20th septemebr and 12th ocotber) on thursday last week (26th ocotober) i filed my MCOL on line. and then same day HSBC decide to reply to my intial letter dated 20th sept - askign me for a copy of these schedule of charges....even though i sent them.....is this HSBC's way of stalling tactics? someone please advise???
also because i merged both my calims (personal and business accounts) the amoutn was £5,600 odd....and my MCOL cost me £250, yet i read somewhere it was only £120 to file it on line...

have i done this right? its just i also read that you should keep claims under £5k, yet mine is just over - will this cause me problems? if so how should i remedy it?

on saturday mornign i recived my official court letter from MCOL ackowledging my claim in the northampton courts.

am feeling i may have missed something or doen somethign wrong?

Hi,

Yes you will get HSBC doing this all the time, it is a stalling tactic. Basically they missed there deadline date so you went to the next step of filing the MCOL.
YOU'VE DONE THE RIGHT THING, you have to stick to your deadlines.

Now you've taken this to court you probably wont hear from HSBC directly you will get a letter from there solicitors acknowledging the claim and then a week later you will hear from them again asking for the breakdown for the claim. AGAIN another stalling tactic. after that there are two ways it can go either to court or they will send you a settlement letter for the full amount.
(i have just got my settlement letter for the full amount £4400). I can only offer advise as its happened to me but I dont think you have done anything wrong.

Good Luck
Karen

p.s I paid £120 to take my claim to court however i do think that it goes up if you go over £5000.
