Hello

Just wanted to make sure everyone knew that on the boating holidays the company automatically adds 'insurance' not qouting without this! Also read the terms and it really seems to be only paying you for any costs of phone calls or something - crap!

I cancelled the boat insurance and saved £100!

Also don't worry because you also pay £20 security waiver ( on top of the above insurance ). If you read the T&C you can opt for option 2 which rather than paying a non-refundable £20 you can pay a £75 refundable deposit!

Saves £120 on a on average £450 holiday - not bad

I'll be saving that bit of info as it looks like one of next year's hols will be a Hoeseasons (boat mad hubby, I hate em).

Also ask around as there are discounts about. Co-op usually knocks off 5% as well as my above savings!

I wanted to argue with these firms about how they automatically add insurance without telling you etc and if you ask for the Terms before you book it says they would post them but they refuse to do this. Bad pratice-
