what about misold timeshares

we are fighting to get monies back from our credit card company after paying a deposit on what was called a holiday vacation club
After returning to the uk we were phoned and phoned with threats if we didnt pay the rest of the monies we did this
when the paper work came through we had in fact been sold a timeshare
because there was no cooling of period in the contract we had 3 months to cancel it didnt take us this long
we then found out that under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (CCA74) we could infact claim all out monies back from the credit card company who would infact claw back there monies from the company involved
the first letter we sent were told it was nothing to do with them (passing the buck)
second letter no answer
now i am sending my 3rd

My wife and i also fell foul to a company called Grand Vacation Club - it's even been featured on Watchdog/Rogue Traders, or something like that!

The principle is fine, but actually getting the holidays booked in school holiday time, at the venue you want is like....... getting the banks to admit their charges are unlawfull!!!

Not alot we can do about our membership (cost £6k + extortionate interest over 10 years = £13k, but the points we have are only reselling for £2k! Spot the problem!) as we didn't realise the problems until 9 months after joining.
