Hi. My family and I have just yesterday returned home from a Haven holiday due to sickness and diahorea. The park new that there was something going around the park but failed to inform guests. We were not the only people to leave the park due to this. We saw many children and adults throwing up all over the showbars carpet. The parks own Funstars were absent from work due to this.
Not only this but also the fact that the first caravan we were given was infested with fleas, the caravan itself smelt like a kennel. When complaining to the reception staff i was offered a standard caravan, i was told that this could have the same problem. It wasn't until i put my hand in my pocket did i recieve an upgrade.
Also the indoor pool was infested with dead flies and the clorine was so high it burnt my daughter and husbands eyes and face.
I stayed for 2 weeks in this park, I had to fight for clean linen literally.I had paid alot for this holiday but wasnt entitled to any clean bedlinen for the whole 2 weeks i was there. I did eventually get clean linen but not before they made my holiday completely stressful, by not delievering the linen so i had tyo call security at a stupid hour, then they didnt give me what i needed so my husband and I had to sleep under a dirty duvet without a cover. this went on for a week. eventually i got the correct linen. But no one should have to fight for linen and b messed around so much on a holiday. Your there to rest and chillout isnt that the point. If I wanted all this stress i would have just stayed at home.
When informing the reception staff of al this we were given a list of doctors surgeries and a pat on the back as if to say o well see you later.
Im absolutely disgusted that this is allowed to happen. And also the fact the 1st caravan that was more like a kennel was then given to another family. The cleaning staff had not even been in to look at it nevermind deflea it. (our upgraded caravan was opposite)
What should I do.... should I complain? How?
How will this be dealt with?
Will I be compenstated for the holiday?
