British Airways Flight Changes - Help! Hi all,
I booked a flight nearly a month ago with BA and now my fiancee needs to change the dates because she has to attend an important work-related meeting and can't get out of it. Even now, the flight dates are 3 months away.
To change the dates, BA wants me to pay £125. The flights were £174 in total! This is simply staggering.
Has anyone had any success with getting BA to;
a) refund their flights in full or part
b) overlook any fees for change of date or name
c) refund their payment for a cancellation - not just the taxes...
What really f***s me off is that the £125 is split into 3 things;
1 - the difference in price between the seats we bought originally and the price now,
2 - additional taxes as the taxes applied to flights has changed since booking,
3 - an extra £30 additional surcharge per person to resend the e-ticket! £60 to send an email? Are you having a laugh?
I thought Ryanair were bad (site crashed mid-booking, didn't receive an email confirmation of booking, still charged us, wouldn't change anything without a cracking great fee), but BA are meant to be reputable and respected.
Appreciate any help anyone can offer. |
