Default Holiday company rips off 80 year old couple for their last holiday abroad.

a quick message concerning my inlaws.they booked/payed for a travelscope holiday in the middle of last year after seeing it advertised in the local press.they was due to go on their last holiday (due to their age) abroad, a (3 day coach trip to germany) on the sunday before the liquidation announcement.anyway they were left standing at west thurrock services from 6.45 on the sunday morning until 9am in damp winter weather.they tried phoning travelscope to find out where the coach was and was told a pack of lies by the person on the other end of the phone.the coach never arrived!!monday morning i phoned travelscope to find out what was going on and was told they would need 4/5 days to lookinto it (just long enough to announce liquidation and wash their hands of my inlaws holiday).on getting in touch with abta i was told to take it up with the holiday insurance company so i sent all the details to them and was told a couple of weeks later its nothing to do with them as the holiday was due before the liquidation announcement.so i went back to abta who told me "ok,now the insurance company has turned down the claim we can now take it up" so i sent off the details of the claim to abta.now 2 months after sending the details to abta they have now said they cannot deal with it and that we need to take it up with the liquidators.i have now contacted the liqiudators and i am awaiting a claim form, although they told me they would not recieve all of their money back.
i have been dealing with all the correspondences with these companies involved and im absolutely fuming with the runaround ive been given from day 1.
id hate to think what state my elderly inlaws would be in if they had no one to try and sort it out for them, but alas im at the point of wringing someones neck now.
the loss of this holiday is completely different to any off the other cases i have heard of as it was before the announcement, and that is the reason everyone is saying they wont sort it out.

welcome to ripoff britain!
