Well chesterexpress, the post explains to bonnie (I am sure she is however already aware) how to contact the local authorities in seattle, they may take action,
or are you refering to this part of my post.

In addition Bonnie clink on the name of any member posting to see all threads/posts from that indivdual, it is a usuful tool as you will soon discover.

Now to explain CICK on the Name of someone posting, here you can find their threads/ postings, from this you can find what advice they have given in the past, then make an informed decision on what to do with that advice.
were you not already are aware of that tool.

Actually I was referring to the pm's, it was as though you were implying that I have sent you pm's, when I have not.

I am aware that unfortunatly PMs have been used by some to "have a ago" at people, still it is an open forum. It is still best used as a tool to direct people to a thread.
However I have to admit in the thread where you mention "Trolls" Glasgow City council PCN's I suggested the OP send you a Pm with link to his thread, as You have legal experience, however in the end I suggested pepipoo with a link to the site, FightBack Forums I have not seen any more info on this issue, so assume he or she had followed the link, hopfully thet were successful.

If you can tell what Bonnies intentions are from a couple of 'smiles', then I take my hat off to you. Not only have I read this thread, I have read and commented on many posts made by Bonnie, and your assesment of her intentions are way off the mark, and very much out of order.

The second quote on post number 18 was made by scatletpimpernel. There, feel better now? As for saying what's needed, your initial comments WERE NOT NEEDED, but you still decided to post them. You must have expected a reaction, which leads me to suspect you are enjoying this, otherwise why continue?

I'm just wondering what else this hotel might have wrong with it that they do not report or follow correct procedure on. Whether we like it or not, most regulations are there for a damned good reason, and failure to comply with them can not only put someones health and safety at risk, but also demonstrates a rather distasteful lack of concern for the well being of others. And if I were in that position, I feel that I would be S***ting my keks good style. Reading the post, what has happened could have turned disastrous- I'm glad it didn't

yep mine and louis,s point but chesters comments on it being trivial and move on heartless id say ive known bonnie well for along time not be able to go in lift with quacking and i know she doesnt necessarily want to sue she just wants the health and safety side more than anything to be sorted for all the other people who stay there and i think she should get some sort of compo to discourage them from doing it again but there will always be people who disagree with this bonnie so take no notice were with u all the way xxkia

It's funny with this "compensation culture" thing. A survey was done on people - showing various claims etc, whether it was something that compensation should be given for and what amount should be awarded. In the majority of cases, the responses were similar to what happened in real life. Probably just the media stoking things up by publishing the more outrageous claims.

yeah more than likely knowing bonnie dont think she wants the multi million pound pay out just to make them follow the rules next time so theres not a more serious accident next time cos it could so easliy have been a different story xxkia

kia, I think you need to actually take stock and read what I wrote, I have never said it was trivial. I said I sympathise with what she went through! But I really don't see the need to push for further compensation. Just my opinion and also of quite a few who have contacted me off forum.

I remain convinced that some support should be given to Bonnie prehaps with formalising a letter to e-mail to the Seattle authorities, do we really think Bonnie is seeking compensation, I don't think so.
It is so important that we report accidents/incidents, it will draw attention to possible faults and helps with risk assessments, I mentioned in an earlier thread about responsibility under RIDDOR in the UK.

Sorry Kia
You’ve lost me somewhere are you referring to the reporting issues,
You see I am not a letter writer, but I am sure that some people on line could express concerns better than me

If Bonnie chooses not to follow it up it will be her choice, only 2 individauls posted "get over it" type comments, the rest of us were supportive, in adition I think links are a usful tool.
I myself would not have been able to claim on my travel insurance policy if it was not for someone directing to via link to ombudsman.

Kia, I’ve not seen a post from Bonnie since yesterday, hope she was not too annoyed by a couple of indivduals and their postings.
As I said in an earlier post we have mechanisms for companies to report incidents in the UK, I expect there must be a similar sort of reporting mechanism in the USA.
The question is do they always report, if they don’t then may be its not deliberate, some are just not aware of the law.
But some just don't send in the report, nor am I suggesting that poeple report a concern to cause trouble, no it could very well stop a rep
