Default Can I cancel?????

Hello

Me & my boyf have booked a holiday to Turkey through Travelcare (we booked it less than 2 hours ago) and we were really excited UNTIL.. we looked online for reviews and happened to come up with a price for the holiday through the travel company direct (Thomas Cook). The price we have paid with Travel care is £100 more (!) than if we had booked online through Thomas Cook direct.

I paid over the phone by credit card and he has taken the payment as he said 'its gone through ok'...

As I havent signed anything, would I have any chance of being able to cancel without paying any fees? (The holiday is booked for 27th so less than 2 weeks).

I know I should be happy that I have a holiday booked etc but we could really do with the extra £100!

Thanks

C

I would try ringing travel care about the price difference as they may be able to match the lower price. I think this close to the holiday you would struggle to cancel without losing the whole amount.
Good Luck

You have no cooling-off period or anything like that so if you cancel you are likely to forfeit the whole cost of the holiday with it being so close to the departure date.

You can try asking the company who you booked with if you can cancel and explain why but I very much doubt they will give you a refund.

Ahh well was worth a try.. It was still quite a good deal and I guess I will know next time not to rush in and just book!

It does seem that the holiday for £100 cheaper doesnt include transfers so that would probably bump it up quite a bit anyway.

Will speak to TravelCare when I go and sign the docs but will just look forward to my holiday

Thanks guys. x
