Default Vicki v Marbles

I have sent my initial letter asking for £968 in charges they have taken in the last 2 years.

Can someone help my balance on my marbles card is £850, can I ask them in my next letter to clear the balance as settlement or should i wait for them to offer that?

The letter i sent was the one from the library, thank you for the person who has taken the time to do all of this for us, as soon as I get money back from these banks I will be making donations!

Thank you in advance for all your help.

V

Hello and welcome (again ).

You certainly could offer that as an alternative, but why let them walk away with £ 118 of YOUR money?

Tell you what, go for the lot and donate the difference to us, lol.
Only kidding, but seriously, why?

Is Marbles part of HFC then? There you go, learn something new every day... On which case, I'll take a guess that they won't make you any kind of offer, if they acknowledge you at all.

Let us know how you get on. For your sake, I'd love to be proven wrong!

Marbles is owned by HFC whcih is owned by HSBC (along with First Direct) another that I am chasing!

You are right it is my money, and if I do get the whole amount I will clear my balance with them and donate the rest to this site!

Are HFC being bad at responding then?

Thanks

Have a look at the other HFC threads...

My personal experience is not to do with reclaiming charges, but their overall customer services skills are appalling, and I don't think they'll be any different when it comes to charges.
HFC are one of the bottom-feeder banks, imo, just that one little step up from Provident or Capital1. And it's a very relative step.

I know there customer service skills are somewhat to be desired, do you remember a couple of years ago they actually sent an email to lots of customers saying "you are over your limit please contact us urgenly" instead of sending a group email BCC all customers they put all our details in the TO column and I was involved in that - they offered me £20 for my distress, although I turned them down and didnt get anywhere else as I didnt take them to court even though they had breached copy right and data protection laws! oh well, I hope to get them this time!

Thanks
V

Got a response back saying they are not prepared to make any refund of defult charges or provide compensation payments etc etc etc, they say they are looking to see if any action they need to take after the OFT annoucement. they beleive the fees HFC bank impose are fair and resonable,

Just got an email address of the Senior Executive Compliants lady so will be emailing her my LBA very soon!

Default Vicki v Marbles, money claim submitted n an offer from HFC!

They sent me an offer the day before (Thurs) I posted my money claim on line but I only received it a day later (Fri) they offered £325, I am claiming £625 plus interst and costs via money claim, they are obviously worried, as they said in the letter they stil stand by the statement that the charges are fair and reasonable but as a valued customer (Me valued, yeah right never felt like that with them before) but if I accept the offer I cant take em to court well that letter is on the shreadin pile,, money claim still filed!

How did you get on Posh Stars? I had an initial offer of £550 after my LBA, I wrote back rejecting it and saying you only have until next wednesday to settle before court action gets started. On the Thursday recieved a "goodwill" offer for the full amount of £1092.63.

They offered me half of what I am claiming, the day before I did the Money Claim on Line, today is the last day they can acknowledge the Money claim before I start a judgement, and I have not heard anything from them!

Has anyone else had to start a judgement?, Thanks
