Letter recieved from Claire Plummer today usual stuff

Account *******
Thank you for your recent communication regarding the above account, I have now fully investigated the matters raised.
Default charges are charges payable if customers do not make the required minimum payment .....exceed their credit limit......payment to their [card] is returned unpaid. The amount of these charges.......is set outclearly in HFC Bank card agreements. We believe that our charges to customers are fair and resonable.
The OFT has recently published findings from its enquiry.......HFC Bank has [considered this] and does not accept its findings. However the OFT's investigation has led to a change in market practices and....{bit about reducing charges except on charges already applied}.Accordingly, I regret that we are not prepared to make any refund....or compensation.
Thank you etc etc

So on with the LBA on thursday lol if she thinks i will give up that easily she is mistaken

Emma

I sent Prim letter to which she offered me half the amount. I said no and then sent LBA to which she replied saying she would give full amount. I have accpeted on the condition we have the money within 7 days otherwise i would carry on my action and proceed to court

At beginning of September HFC offered me the full amount i was asking. I said I would accept this as full and final offer providing that they

1 use some money to pay of the card
2 close the card
3 send us the rest of money via cheque or bank transfer.

This was all confirmed and agreed with Clare Plummer. I gave them 7 days to do this or i would commence court action. Now they have done 1 and 2 but as of yet I have still not recieved anymoney. I phoned yesterday to inform them of this and was told a cheque was ordered on the 13th and she would chase it.

How long should i wait for this money, should i file a claim for the outstanding money. Bit confused
