HFC Bank - What can i do?

Hi

for the last 4 years or so HFC have been taking £15 from my loan account for something called "Information Commissioner Protection Premium"

according the them this is some kind of insurance

now the thing is i never asked for any insurance and when i ask them for a copy of the document i signed saying i want insurance they cant produce it

what are you rights here
can i claim back the money?

i reckon its up to around £800

i asked them to cancel it back in April but according to my June statement I'm still getting charged

It is possible that there is no such document, just a box left unticked on the original loan agreement, and the bank is just playing awkward with you.

Ask for a copy of the original loan agreement. They should still have this as the loan is active and within the last six years. Just don't say why you want it. Then check through the document thoroughly before making a claim.
