Default is it worth it for 148 quid?

I've had all my statements back from the Halifax and it appears the Halifax only charged me £148 in the last 6 years. Shame it doesn't go back ten years coz that's when I was really in trouble.

Really not sure whether to continue with the claim, considering I'm already having a fight with Tiscali and British Gas (don't get me started) at the moment. Is it reasonably easy claiming from the halifax or am I just setting myself up for another time and energy consuming punch-up?

What do you think?? HELP????

£148... it's your money is it not?

IF you want it, surely it is worth a couple of letters?

i know what I would be doing..

Can you think of something you could spend it on?

I know someone who will take the bank to court for £50...but it's your choice...and if it were mine I would go for it. Good luck.

yep. you're right. I could spend the money quite easily with two small kids. Another question though, hope i'm not being thick, Can you claim back the late payment fees from your credit cards as I've had plenty of them in the last 6 years?

many thanks for your replies so far.
xx

yes you can!

If the amount you are trying to claim back is small enough like yours some banks will pay up quite easily, its the large amounts they refuse straight off normally!

Good Luck!
