| | Site Team | Lex stops smoking, yet again So here we go again,
1 year ago I gave up using Allan Carr's 'Easy Way to stop Smoking' Book.
I was doing really well until a few problems hit my family, so here I go again. I'll start a count down when I name the day. This time I'm going to use 'Champix' the wonder drug to help me stop along with the great mind set that Allan Carr gives you.
So Step 1, Make a appointment to see either the practice nurse or G.P.
Well that was quick, while I was typing this (and before I forgot ) I phoned the practice and got an appointment for 11:15 tomorrow. How's that for a rural service that hasn't gone to the dogs.
I'll let you know what he has to say.
Over the passed few years I have tried patchs, they brought me out in a rash. Zyban, which is an anti-deppessant and did not suit me at all and good 'ol Allan Carr which was by far the best.
Right then, one nasty old nicotine monster, on he's way out.
Lex

I have been quit 10 months 1wk and 2 days now and have never looked back!
Glad to see this back where it belongs lol
Bear in mind tho mate that Champix is also an anti-depressant but is very good
Some suffer some bad side effects but they are worth it
Good luck lexy |

| Re: Lex stops smoking, yet again Well .......... when this forum first opened many moons ago (the stop smoking that is) I did say that I was going to quit once again however that didnt materialise ...... I did mention to my GP and to get any help from them I have to register at one of the stop smoking clinics the majority of them run mid morning or early afternoon which unfortunatly are when I am in work there are a couple that are run from 6-8pm one that is inaccessable from here for non drivers such as myself the other is in the town center walk-in center so I am thinking of heading there (once I have finished the duty free's that I have in stock - no way on earth will I be able to stop while thet are in the house ) so I may be a couple of weeks behind you lex |

| | Site Team | Re: Lex stops smoking, yet again Saint. While your getting rid of the duty free, do try and read the Allan Carr book. (Easy way to stop smoking) It really does put things into prospective and gives you a new outlook on smoking.
Tilly, You better had, to be fair, you have had enough going on to worry about without our little 'monster' You will kill him this time, to be sure.
Lula, Well, who's a cleaver girl then. As I am a month behind you, I will be looking for tips from the expert
WE CAN DO IT !!
