Right sod it I'm gunna actually do it this time! I've tried all the NRT stuff before, and it hasnt worked, so I'm just going cold turkey!

Day number 1 is today!

Well, I kinda quit for 3 month(social smoking), but ive been back on em for about a month, but only a couple a day.

But, topical that you have resurrected - I'm stopping again today!!!

Well. i would thoroughly recommend Champix, I smoked about 30 a day for 25 years (increasing through that time to 30) and the Champix has had me off em, without any cravings for 35 days now

Well the 9th day and first slip - went out last night and had a few - but to be fair im discounting alcohol fuelled cigarettes for now

Head hurts today though

Everybody slips

Write it off and start afresh tomorrow, you now have to beat 9 straight days. Take one day at a time and if you really really want one promise yourself one in an hour, keep telling yourself that in one hour you will have one. I found that when I did that and the hour passed so had the craving.

I slipped so many times I should have been an ice skater!!!!!!!!

You shouldnt go out on the drink in the first 3 weeks as that is when you are at your weakest willpower wise

Cold turkey is the way to go. If you are anything like me, you will start to get angry and everything and anyone around you will feel it.
I was banging my head against the wall, attacking my husband verbally and my lungs where trying to jump out of my throat.
It was worth it.

Ooops forgot to say, 11 months and 2 days for me

I have been quit for 11 Months, 1 Day, 23 hours, 18 minutes and 54 seconds (336 days). I have saved £1,347.88 by not smoking 6,739 cigarettes. I have saved 3 Weeks, 2 Days, 9 hours and 35 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 29/11/2007 22:43

Since my "slip" (which I dont really class as one to be honest ) I havent touched a cigarette

We all have slip-ups, well i didnt but that was because i was on Champix, we just have to not dwell on it
