Yup. I reclaimed on charges on my Ikea card, shut in 04, charges from 01. I'm currently chasing old car finance, charges 01 (yes, there's a pattern there), pd off 2002. etc...

HI you need to read through the FAQs and the step by step guide.

THe 1st thing to do is write to the company concerned under the data protection act and make a formal request for your info.

There are templates in the library, have a read through and start your own thread and do lots of reading

HTH

Thanks for the info, i've just started looking at this site and it's all a bit overwhelming with the idea that I could be about to claim back a hell of a lot of money.

Better late than never I suppose. We had an Access Credit Card which is now defunct. Can anyone tell me how I go about obtaining details/address so I can kick-off a claim for unlawful charges (loads!) against this card please?

I might add that we were successful in claiming back over £1700 in unlawful bank charges going back the six year statutory limit from NatWest at the back end of last year. through this brilliant site.

Second Request - Sorry.

BUT is there anyone that can help me? We had an Access Credit Card issued by NatWest Bank up until approx 1995 when we finally paid off the balance and cut the blimmin' thing up!!

We held the card for about 3 years and ran up loads of penalty charges for late payment etc. The thing is we don't even know the account number despite the fact that we kept the final statement showing a NIL balance for some years - we can't find it now!

Should I send a full S.A.R. with £10 cheque and if the answer is Yes then where to please?

wow!! Thank god I found this site! just joined tonight because I have had a charging order put on my house by Cabot over an MBNA cc. I think the debt is over 6 years old. not definite about that tho. All I've got is an acc no for MBNA. I estimate that at least 3/4 of the debt are charges. Any chance of them reducing it does anyone know? thanks
