Hi Hugh, I wondered what had happened to you. I knew you were going through a rough time, and I too am sorry to hear about your mum. Sounds like the work situation has not helped matters, but you know we are all here for you.
A couple of things that spring to mind are that some people are now claiming contractual interest, or even compound contractual interest, which can be claimed right from the start before starting the court claim. I think we are also a bit braver about letting claims go over the small claims limit as the banks are still unlikely to go to court.
Another development seems to be that the courts are trying to force the banks hand by putting some cases to the Mercantile Court, but the banks are settling before getting there.
