updated with all the banks who have announced their profits to date.

Of interest is that of the banks who have announced profits, only Santander has seen its profits grow over last years efforts.

So the real question that has to be asked of the other banks, what have you done so wrong that Santander has got right that has seen your profits tumble to their current levels?

The other thing that annoys the hell out of me are the bean counters who are going on about lost profits. Some slap me with a fish will you because last time I checked you cant actually lose something you havent made!

Regards

They've still made profits though!!! And obscene profits at that!!! It seems to me that unless they are making more and more money every year they think they are going bust. A profit is still a profit! Its about time they started to look at their businesses realistically.

What Santander have done is not invest in risky business like Northern Rock and the rest who are seeing falling profits. Thats my take on it anyway!!!

For the last few years the banks have been reporting higher and higher profits. There has to be a ceiling and it has to fall down on them at some point if they aint doing the maintenance to the framework to keep it up.

I have absolutely no sympathy for them. The people I have sympathy for are the people they ruined to get where they are today!!!

Kind regards
Gemspan

Barclays profits now added...and only a day to go before the big one is announced tomorrow (well, big if you can believe the rumours around losses being suffered by RBS!).

RBS profits (or lack thereof) now added.

Intersting to note that the CEO has refused to step down after posting the first loss for RBS group in 40 years and the second biggest loss since the recession of a few years ago.

In real life, if this was your or me there wouldnt be any hesitation to "let you go". Just goes to show, one rule for them and one rule for the rest of us.
