could someone please explain what this new hearing later on in the month is all about please. how does it effect us please?

I can't see how there is a need to test the fairness of them. It should be a straightforward test as to whether or not they are legal. It is a simple case of studying their costs, if costs are less than charges, then they are penalties. The OFT could send a monkey into court to do this bit, he did alright last time..

thanks for that, but can't understand how the stays can be kept in place untill after appeals. the judge found in favour of the oft, so surely thats it decided. and the stays should be lifted. if joe public goes to court over something and loses you can't say hang on you can't fine me or put me in prison because i'm going to appeal. seems very one sided this.
