| | Platinum Account Customer | From what I've gathered, it'd all be in one letter. |

if it all comes to more than £5000 then 2 claims.

| | Platinum Account Customer | Bankfodder, the OP is asking about Data Protection Act requests, not claims at this time, although I suggest this you mean tin your first line to say "request" and not "claim".
Could you please clarify so as not to confuse the OP? |

| | Site Team The Consumer Action Group | If it's Data Protection Act requests - then as few as possible to reduce the number of fees payable.

| | Basic Account Customer | Sorry I didn't make myself clear, I was asking about initial refund requests rather than Data Protection Act info. The situation is:
I have sent a letter (perhaps a bit hastily) to HSBC requesting a refund. I already had a list of all charges as they have backdated stmts online. I will need to do a Data Protection Act request for the mastercard statements as I shredded these recently as the account is closed. I'll also be claims for charges on my Barclays account and an old Barclaycard. So my question was should the initial payment request for the Barclaycard and the Barclays account be in the same letter? I know in the case of Barclays a separate department deal with Barcalaycard, if I do them together will it not slow the process down? Cheers

| | Platinum Account Customer | If they are to separate accounts, and come with different statements, I would send a letter to each department. What is the total value of the Barclay claims? |
