**********Fantastic News*************

I used the first letter template to remove a default that I have had with HSBC (credit card). I was defaulted around 2001 time.

I have just recieved a letter from Mrs Claire Barker (Manager - External Agencies) to confirm that they have removed the Default as they can not provide the documentation.

So it does work!!!!!

4 more defaults to go

whhhooooaaaahhh.

I've successfully removed 2 Thames Credit Defaults via this method, took about a month and was v easy. I am however, having no luck with my 3rd default with Abbey. They exceeded the 40 day subject data request, cannot provide me with a copy default as they say they are not obliged to hold them etc etc. My letters are ignored or a reply received basically saying 'tuff, go to the information commissionaire' Anybody else in the same boat? any advice? bank charges are not 100% responsible but there are charges included in this default amount (which I've now paid off) Can I use that to get it removed? Thanks

Just one question about the defaults being removed.

I have three, but I am in a payment plan with Paypal. Can I still get these removed, or do I have to wait for the debt to be cleared off?

Even if the debts were 'sold' to a debt agency?

A quick question

does anyone know if this applies to the amber warning that appears before the red default - A&L have put this on my current account as if it is is a late payment - but in fact it is occasions when I have gone over my OD limit. I want these rmoved as they are the only ones on any account that are not green! These only appeared after commencing action with them

what do you call these markers if they are not a default.

Thanks Jansus

Fantastic thread, will be using this today as I have obtained by 2 pound credit file. It's worth the time and trouble and I have quite a few "Defaulted" and then "Satisfied" accounts.

Have 4 in total that I have CCA'd already querying that I owe the debt, and wish now I had sent this letter first because it wraps up that if they couldn't provide a Credit Agreement then they should remove the "Default" within 28 days (will use this though once 12+2 days up, just cut and copy it to suit).

Fantastic, thanks for this thread.

Does anyone know if this would apply to a CCJ from the council over rent arrears, if so what legislation would be used to force them to provide the info, as i realise it would be different from the consumer laws,
thanks
