Try checking with the court, give them a ring as some courts are NOT charging a fee for applying for the removal of stays, good luck.

Yes £35 without you attending and I believe it is £65 if you want to attend. I would either check on line or phone the courts for guidance. It may be easier and wiser to plead your case in person, because then you can explain to the judge how their charging regime is putting you in fincial hardship.

I phoned Birkenhead County Court this week regarding my case tomorrow and was told to turn up as planned. Fingers Crossed (and legs, arms and toes!)

The woman who answered said yes, turn up as planned because it would go ahead as normal. Reading all other posts though, this is obviously not the case. Is there any point in losing even more money by taking time of work!

You still haven't explained what the hearing is for.

Is this a directions hearing, or to consider a stay?

It would be very useful if you could post what your local court has told you regarding stay on claims due to the OFT report. We dont need to know what the banks said, we all know they will just tell us that they have a stay and that is that.

received a letter from DJ sollicitors saying that they have applied for the case to be stayed.... and that i should be getting a letter from the court to confirm that.. <My court is the guildford county court..... i did speak to the court and they said that they were processing the claims in batches... the next batch would be processed in by end of october. note that i started my claim in march 07.....

in regards to the letter from DG sollicitors for the stay... do i have to send a removal of stay letter yet or wait for the court to confirm this first...

The case seems to drag.... and the bank seems to try to buy more n more time....

Dunnoo whats next...... Had an account plus with hsbc where they were charging an extra 12.50 monthly which ive cancelled now.. and they still charge me £75 for being over my overdraft limit at most by £10///

These bank are just making money out of us...........

The Guildford court is on the case by case process and despite the application from DG.. any boby knows if the guildford court will accept the stay or not..

Give me a good news anybody ..... to boost me confidence a bit .. feel that am fighting a losing battle.......HELP>>>>>>>> >>>>

Will also PM you, hopefully you have some info that may help me
