The Money Secret by Rob Parsons

This is more than a book about debt. This book could be life-changing. It is written in a style a bit like “a Christmas Carol” with the ‘heroine’, Amy, being taken to see various people and situations in order to understand the financial backdrop to everything we do and why debt is big business.

If you follow the principles laid out in this book you could set yourself free from debt for ever.

As the book progresses Amy comes to understand how shopping centres and supermarkets are designed to part you from her hard-earned money for things you don’t need, don’t even want and certainly didn't plan to buy; why banks and credit card companies don’t mind if you are a bad customer – they even prefer it, as there is more money in it for them; why those with least money pay more for almost everything; why insurance and guarantees are often not worth the paper they are written on – except to the seller of course; and why you should never, never accept a free offer as it will always be far too expensive.

And the secret? Well, that would be telling...
