| Re: Need a solution for my car at the parking lot! Hi Effiejosef,
Welcome to the Consumer Action Group.
You might try a distinctive roof rack or box. My son had the same problem and this worked for him.
I'll move your thread to a more appropriate forum were someone else may have a better idea.
Hope this helps,
Lex

| Re: Need a solution for my car at the parking lot! My old sales manager was in the USA a few years back and had travelled to several cities, hiring a different car in each. At the end of the week before flying home he went to one of those huge shopping malls, parked up and went to do some shopping, eat and spend a few hours relaxing before the trip back home. Unfortunately when he came to look for his car he had both forgotton where he parked it and its make, colour etc (no details on the key ring). After a few hours looking he gave up, took a taxi to the airport and reported to stolen to the car rental company!
He had to pay the first $100 and never heard another thing! |

| Re: Need a solution for my car at the parking lot! Buy a small tube of helium gas and a pack of balloons, when you park up inflate one and tie it to your car aerail or roof rack.
When you come back to the car park look for the balloon.

Just realised Gyzmo suggested this earlier. OK buy a loaf of bread and when you leave your car lay a trail of breadcrumbs when you come back to the car park look for the trail and follow it |

Unless
a) Your car has been stolen
b) The owner of the other car has finished shopping and has driven off.
Otherwise, there is no reason why that wouldn't work

| Re: Need a solution for my car at the parking lot! Wht not just park across two bays. Then, when returning from doing your shopping, simply look for the car with a clamp on it and that will be yours.

| Re: Need a solution for my car at the parking lot! Just before I got married, I went to Gloucester to bring the wife to be to Portsmouth where we were being wed.
I had a hire car and I parked it behind Gloucester Cathedral near Sainsburys. We get back 2 hours later and can't find the car. Thinking it had been stolen, I speak to the car park attendant.
Oh, you mean the mondeo that rolled back down the car park? I'd forgotton to put the hand brake on. It was only stopped when the wing mirror got caught on one of those shopping trolley corrals.
Doh..........

| Re: Need a solution for my car at the parking lot! OK the definitive solution.
Carry a piece of chalk (or a spray can) and when you get out of your car walk in a straight line towards the nearest wall counting your steps.
When you reach the wall write the number of steps it took on the wall and then go shopping. When you have finished your shopping come back to the wall and find your writing, now take that number of steps back and hey presto your car will be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
