red debt collection

i had my house broken into 3 years ago, they got dokuments out of the house and managed to set up mobile phone contracts with 3g, I get letters from red debt collection services in leeds and they threathen me with bailiffs, I have explained to these people, especially 3g a million times that I never have had any phones with them but no one listens.

Was the breakin reported to the police at the time ?

If so you have nothing to worry about. If you wish to correspond with them again, just tell them to send you proof.

They should not make threats of bailiffs, bailiffs can only be ordered in by courts so unless they have a successfull court claim against you, you should report them.

Don't ask for a cca or S.A.R - (Subject Access Request), they cost you money, and are not required, just ask them to send you proof.

yes, it was reported, and I have given out the crime number to the phone company several times, also the police were given copies of the mobile phone bills from the phones that they had taken out in my name. Despite this, they wont budge and now I get these threats from red. I am worried that this might affect my credit scoring when it comes to getting a mortgage.

these people are fishing, they buy debt for 1p in the pound and then attempt to make a profit by sending letters, as a lawyer mate of mine always says your first responce is,"PROVE IT).
