Default trying to understand entries on credit report

I have just done my first credit check report with experian and there are some entries I don't understand why are there

I have 2 defaults - red circles which are:
1)abbey account as a loan? this is in dispute over charges but the balance is wrong. under by about £2k The only thing I think it can be is when Abbey agreed to credit the account with £2k to cover the overdraft through a debt management plan as the balance went overdrawn with about £3k of charges . I have never signed or applied for a loan

2)I have a car finance in dispute as it was a voluntary surrender with no outstanding and this is showing as a default with a debt agency not the car finance company. This I am currently dealing with.

But when I look further below it shows a whole load of what looks like applications mainly by the same company which is not correct - I know I have not appliied for these and the only thing I can think of was when I made a query through Yes Loans. I got the £50 back they charge for finding a loan as I told them I had already said not intereted in Welcome finance loans due to the fact I have a car finance with them. They said fine and refunded the £50. i still get calls and text messages now and then and wonder if this is them adding this stuff to my credit report.

Can anyone advise how I can find out what each liv=ne is about as there are a lot of entries I do not recognise some with spelling msitakes, wrong address dates and a lot in joint applcations with my partner also spelling his name wrong. We are jsut getting his credi t report as we are sorting some of his old debts out so will see soon if these show on his as well.

Thanks

Understanding ya report can be difficult but a few things you should remember:

When you apply for car insurance they will often perform a credit check on you, Only the record of a search is listed.

If you wish for anything to be adjusted to your credit file you need to write to the company that has submitted the info to your file and advise them of the error. You may have to get tough with them and threaten legal action,
Have a read thru the debt collection agency section as you will find loads of useful info in there about credit files
