Angry Mis sold Holiday Help!!!

Hi

Please can somebody help me!! I am going round the twist. Basically I booked my holiday through First Choice to the Dominican Republic for a 4* hotel with loads & loads of amenities! (yeah right)! On our arrival to the hotel it was awful an absoloute dive, with very few amenities we also found out that the hotel had been downgraded to a 3* hotel 6 months prior to our departure. First choice failed to tell us that! The holiday was a disaster, we ended up having to be moved after a week to another hotel. I complained to First Choice about this and they have come back with an offer of £150 in vouchers I am absoloutly furious about this and wondered if anybody could offer me some more advice! Thanks in advance

Sorry to hear about your holiday.

Write a letter to the First Choice head office, explain that your holiday was was not "As Described". Explain why it wasn't and then tell them how you wish to be compensated.
Personally, I wouldnt go for a full refund. That would be pushing it.
How much did you think the holiday was worth? £1,500? If so then ask for a 50% refund.

You will probally have to issue court proceedings before they pay attention to you though.

If you need any further help or template letters etc, then feel free to PM me.

Regards,
Tom3131.
