Before beginning to claim your bank charges be sure to read the FAQ by clicking the link above. Join Date: Jun 2006 Posts: 234	Pension Tax Credits / Income Support If you are in receipt of Pension Tax Credits / Income Support and need things for the home including small improvements (shower, hand rails etc), or household items such as cooker, freezer, couch carpets etc, or clothes such as winter coats there is a grant you can claim from Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) It is Community Care Grant. You need to go into DWP and ask for the CCG form. Fill it in with your requests and state why you ned them, eg replacing broken cooker and price the replacement. It usually takes around 2 weeks for a decicion to be made, and you will not have to repay the grant back. Ideal for the lots of grandparents i have read about on here and certainly helpful to anyone who has recently seperated and thrusted onto IS and trying to rebuild a home after the split.
