| | Platinum Account Customer | Re: Private & Commercial Finance They can charge you those prices...but only if they can prove that it actually cost them that much to process your unpaid debits, defaults, etc. Now, unless they send you letters written in gold ink by magical goblins working on an hourly rate of £100 and one firstborn child per month, I'd say it can't cost them more than £3 to send out a letter, process a bounced direct debit, etc.
Charges cannot be punitive, ie there to punish you for not sticking to the terms of the contract. They can only reflect what those breaches actually cost the company. |

£525.25 oustanding payments inclusive of title transfer
£921.89 other charges
They have sent me a statement and it is for unpaid dd's, default etc.
I called them tonight to negotiate paying the £525.25 off and that I felt the charges were unfair.
They told me they would be able to write off a couple of hundred from the charges but that is it.
Do you know were I stand and do these operate the same way as banks
Thanks
Trish | Pay off the £525. 25p balance as soon as you can then send your S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) & when its confirmed they have imposed unlawful penalty charges that's the time to enter into a dispute. |

How did you return the car. did you make arrangements or just dump it What reason if any did they give for issuing proceedings when they knew you had paid 1/3 also what do you mean by 2 solicitors. What happened to the 1st one |
