Re: Exhibition Cancellation Fees Well... in the past I have been a major event organiser and I've been in the position of having to charge people who cancel. Anything up to 2 months on a sliding scale but if we managed to sell the space on again then we just forgot about it.
I would think your argument is whether or not they have been out of pocket for you cancelling... for instance... if you had a designated space at an event but couldn't go, and they couldn't re-sell that space to anyone else, then yes I would say you should pay (bear in mind I was on the other side and that income is essential to the running of the event), but if the space has been resold then there's no reason for them to charge anything.
