Default Protectacoat so called guarentee

Hi guys.
Has anybody any experience from protectacoat. We had them do the front of our house a couple of years ago(big mistake). When they done they said it was covered by a guarentee that we had any work done to the house and the walls got damaged then they will come and fix it for free.

Well we want to get cavity wall insulation as we are having our loft done aswell. I phoned protectacoat to tell them our plans and the woman nearly laughed at me and said that cavity wall makes too much mess so they wont fix that.

Bummer!! Does anybody have any feedback on these.

Well, this isn't accidental damage - this is someone coming round to drill 2" holes in your frontage, and you want the firm that painted it previously to repair the damage done by the cavity wall folk?

I'm afraid I'd laugh a bit too - the guarantee is for the coating, that it adheres and protects, not to get the team out again to fill in holes left by a different contractor. The other problem is matching the colour, as you could buy a small tin of the same colour coating to infill the holes, but this won't have faded to the same extent as the coating already on your wall, so, it really would have made sense to have all the internal works completed with the final coating on the outside, done last!

When you put it like that it is quite laughable.
I am not talking about accidental damage. Protectacoat used an exmple for this guarentee and that was if we had new windows and doors put in then they would come round and repair. They said if work was done that damaged the work then they are not gonna leave it in a state of dis- repair as it looks bad on them. Sorry but i really am not that dim! just really bad at explaining myself
